Free trial credits have a fair-use limit
Most new accounts still get 5 free credits on first sign-in. To keep the trial fair, extra free credits may be withheld when many new accounts from the same network or Google name request a trial in a short time. Sign-in, uploads, and paid credits are not blocked.
Large ProRes downloads use the browser download bar
A finished ProRes MOV can be hundreds of megabytes. The job page now starts a normal browser download instead of copying the whole file into the tab first. Watch the download bar and confirm the saved size matches the job page. A file of only a few megabytes is an interrupted transfer — download again.
After Effects: import the ProRes MOV, not the original MP4
If you uploaded an MP4 and chose ProRes, the download is a .mov. That is the expected file. Everyday players often keep leftover green because they ignore alpha. Import the MOV in After Effects, interpret Alpha as Straight - Unmatted, and place a solid color underneath.
Still images: transparent PNG or Pure white
The homepage Still tab accepts JPEG, PNG, or WebP. One image uses one credit from the same pool as video. On the result page you can download a transparent PNG or composite Pure white (#FFFFFF) without running the job again.
Unfinished uploads no longer look like a queue
If a transfer never finished, the job page now says the upload is not finished instead of “waiting in queue.” Cancel that job, then upload once. Credits are not charged until processing starts.
ProRes downloads show progress and skip the browser player
Chrome and Firefox cannot play ProRes 4444. The job page no longer pretends they can. Large MOV files show download progress so you can confirm the transfer finished.
Cancel a stuck job and free the slot
You can cancel a pending, charging, or processing job. Any charged credits return. A stuck upload no longer blocks the next one forever.
This list starts in September 2026. Older launch behavior is documented on Sources and the format guide.
