Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ExportAlpha ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ExportAlpha provides AI-powered video background removal and transparent video export services. We process uploaded video files and export them with alpha channels in formats including WebM and ProRes MOV.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older.

4. Account Registration

You must register an account using Google OAuth to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account.

5. Credits and Subscriptions

5.1 Credit System

Processing is billed in credits. 1 credit = 1 started second of video. A 1.1-second video costs 2 credits.

5.2 Plan Credits

Subscription plans provide monthly credit allocations. Plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Unused plan credits expire at the end of the billing period.

5.3 Pack Credits

One-time credit packs never expire. Pack credits are used after plan credits are exhausted.

5.4 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are prepaid for 12 months. Credits are still distributed monthly at the same rate as monthly subscriptions. Annual prepayment does not grant 12 months of credits upfront.

5.5 Refunds

Failed jobs that produce no successful output will have credits refunded to the original ledger (plan or pack). Successful processing is not refundable. Subscription fees are not refundable.

6. Service Limitations

  • Maximum duration: 60 seconds per video
  • Maximum resolution: 1080p
  • Maximum file size: ~200MB per upload
  • Concurrent jobs: 1 in-progress job at a time
  • Supported formats: MP4, MOV, WebM, M4V input

7. Content Ownership and Rights

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to process the videos you upload
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • You have obtained all necessary permissions and releases

You retain ownership of your uploaded and processed videos. We do not claim ownership of your content.

8. File Retention and Deletion

Uploaded videos and processed results are retained for 7 days, then permanently deleted. We retain job metadata for account management and abuse prevention.

9. Prohibited Uses

See our Acceptable Use Policy for detailed prohibited uses, including but not limited to:

  • Adult or sexually explicit content
  • Content depicting minors
  • Non-consensual use of individuals' images
  • Illegal content or activities

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

11. Quality and Results

Background removal quality depends on input video characteristics. We use Bria VRMBG 3.0 video model via fal.ai. Results may vary. We do not guarantee:

  • Perfect edge detection on all content
  • Zero flicker or temporal inconsistency
  • Recovery of quality lost in heavily compressed source videos

12. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Unused plan credits expire. Pack credits remain available.

13. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. Terminated accounts forfeit unused plan credits.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
