ProRes 4444 / QuickTime, not H.264 MP4

If the sequence actually has transparency (a keyed graphic, an imported ProRes with alpha, or a clip you already matted), the export has to write that fourth channel. The usual editorial path is:

Format / container: QuickTime
Video codec: Apple ProRes 4444 (or 4444 XQ). Other ProRes flavors typically do not store alpha.
Alpha: In current Adobe builds, look for a depth or channel control that includes alpha (often shown as something like 8-bpc + Alpha). Labels change; the intent is RGB plus alpha inside the MOV.

Why the Match Source H.264 preset fails this job

The preset most people use for YouTube or review links is H.264 in an MP4. That path composites transparent pixels onto a solid color. You cannot recover the holes later. What to do with the ProRes file

Another editor or compositor: Hand off the MOV. After Effects typically imports ProRes 4444 with the alpha intact; if the Project panel still looks green, interpret Alpha as Straight - Unmatted and stack it over a solid. See exporting and importing transparent video in After Effects.
Chrome, Firefox, or OBS: Premiere does not natively export VP9 WebM with alpha. Convert the ProRes that already has alpha using the WebM guide or FFmpeg ProRes → WebM.
Finished social video with a new background already composited: Then H.264 MP4 is fine. Just do not call it transparent.

If the clip never had alpha

Premiere cannot export transparency that is not on the timeline. A talking-head MP4 with a real room behind the subject has no alpha to write. You need a key, a mask, or AI background removal first.
